ABOUT ME
- Nice to meet you, thanks for clicking! I am Alex, 32
- I love outdoor, wildlife and sports (I do love pizzas and beers a lot too…)
- I will soon run an Ultra Trail Race on the Reunion Island (165 km long and >10,000m of ascend to run within less than 3 days and nights) happening 20.10.2022
- The race is called „La Diagonale des Fous“ (the Fools‘ Diagonal) or known as the Reunion Grand Raid
- I recently decided to link the challenge of my life (no joke!) with a good cause: preserving our Nature!
WHY RUNNING FOR WWF?
- I am training hard in Switzerland (mostly) since a year to build-up my body and motivation to attend this event, but I thought that I could raise awareness for this urgent cause which is the climate change, thanks to my race and its unique nature!
- Because we all have a role to play in the climate change!
- The race is happening on the Reunion Island (link below) in the middle of the Indian Ocean, which is a highly endangered zone (dying coral reefs, endemic species decreasing, pollution, overfishing etc)
WHY WWF?
I chose the WWF Charity, which does have tons of useful and targeted actions as well as a several decades track records of Actions, Innovations and Programs to preserve the wildlife and their ecosystem
